October 29, 2008.

So last night was worth every second. I wasn't able to sleep at all on Monday night. I was too anxious for the day to come. So I made the brownies around eleven and they were done by midnight. I tried to go to sleep between 1am and 4am but it was just impossible. So I got up at four and got online. Talked with Loren until six since she was up too. Then I hopped in the shower around six to get ready for the day ahead.
At about 9am I finally headed out to go down to Greenville, SC. I got there around 11am, met up with Loren. Then we went to get gas, vitamin water, sharpies, and our tickets. Then about 12:30 we started our drive to Atlanta, GA. It felt like it took foreverrr to get there. We finally arrived at like three. We thought we were lost at first because the way the exits are numbered in Georgia, which is complete bullshit, and totally confusing. Then mapquest told us to take all these extra turns that we didn't have to once we got off the exit because we were on the street the venue was on. So confusing.
We hung out for an hour and got creeped out by a plastic bag filled with fake blood in the parking lot. Then we saw two people we know, Meg and Ryne, drive by in their car. So Loren honked at them and this homeless guy was right there and started coming over and said something like "I know you ain't honking at honey." And something about him being sexy. It was weird. But then Meg and Ryne had pulled into the parking lot. So we decided to walk around and find some food with them. Which was really neat. Because we ended up on Ponce De Leon Ave. which is actually the name of a new Butch Walker song. I kind of freaked out when I realized that. We ended up going to this place called Chipotle but I didn't get anything.
Then we walked back to The Masquerade. We had to wait at least another two hours out in the cold. It was miserable. The Masquerade is actually a really neat venue though. It has three different stages and that night there were three different shows going on. The other two were like death metal bands. So the four of us stuck out like sore thumbs. The rest of the kids there for the This Providence/House Of Heroes show didn't show up til a half hour before doors opened. We got in and of course we were up front. The stage that they were playing was actually this really small room and the stage was only like 6 inches off the ground. Before the first band started we wandered off to find the bathrooms. Ran into Mister David Blaise on the stairs. Boy remembered me, told him I baked him some more brownies and I would get them to him later. Then he asked if I was upstairs for the Otep/Walls of Jericho show, like I was crazy, but I was like nooo.
Then we went back and some solo guy was the opening act. He was very interesting... Didn't exactly like him. I was in love with House of Heroes set. I was actually surprised that there were a lot of people there for them, at least a good 25, if not more. After that was This Providence. More than half the people left while they were setting up and I felt bad, considering they were the headlining band, and only about 12 people left.
