Grow up, or die.

Yesterday I went to see the movie Religulous at the local dollar theatre. And last night I finally came to a realisation because of this movie. I don't believe in world peace at all(this isn't the realisation, I never did believe in world peace). I don't think it's possible. And Bill Maher has helped me realise why I don't think world peace is possible.
Why do most wars start? Because of conflicts over religion. One religion believes something differently and a war starts. Or their religion tells them to do something. The only way for us to even be close to having world peace is to eliminate religion. But that's just not going to happen. Too many people believe very much in whatever religion they follow. They won't just give it up. They think praying to their god will help bring world peace but it won't. It may bring you a peace of mind but that's not going to help when across the ocean hundreds, even thousands, of people are dying.
Anyways, I just thought I would get that out there. And onto stuff about me.
I got a boyfriend on January 1st. He's pretty great. First guy I've dated in 2 and a half years. My parents are now convinced I'm a lesbian though. And a groupie when I go to concerts. Not sure how that works. I'm a lesbian but I'll hook up with a guy in a band, all righty then. I'm going to a meet and greet for The Academy Is.. and The Cab on the 21st. Kind of excited for that.
I most likely have shin splints. It hurts so bad to walk. But I have to. By the end of the day my ankles are severely bruised and swollen. I hope its shin splints and nothing more serious than that anyways. My mom thinks I got the shin splints because I've gained too much weight and now need to loose weight, oh thanks for calling me fat mom, I really appreciated that.
Also, yesterday we tried to go find the satanic church in the next town over. That was quite interesting. To get to it you have to drive down this one road and almost every house on it is burned down. There's maybe only 2 out of 12 still standing, with people living in them. The rest are abandoned or burned down. Very creepy. And my question is how big of a coincidence is it that that many houses on one street are burned down. Whatever. We couldn't walk down the trail though where the house was. It was too muddy.
Another thing that ended up happening was on New Years night I'm pretty sure me and a few friends stumbled across a murder scene or something. We were riding elevators in this one building and one of them that opened was just covered in blood. I watched the news the whole next two days but there was nothing about anyone getting murdered or stabbed where it happened. So maybe it was just fake blood? Maybe it didn't make it onto the news. Who knows. But I'll never forget that.
